3Com Corporation NetWare DOS ODI Installation Notes Novell Netware 4.X ------------------ Installing the 3Com Driver using the NetWare 4.X Installation Program. This procedure describes how to install the 3Com network driver using the NetWare 4.X installation diskettes. Using the NetWare installer adds windows client support, provides NetWare User Tools for printing, and allows you to log in and out using Windows. 1. Insert the NetWare diskette WSDOS1 in your floppy drive. 2. Type Install 3. Accept the defaults for the first four options. 4. Select Driver Option. The driver list is displayed. 5. Scroll through the list and select "Others" 6. Remove the NetWare diskette from the floppy drive. 7. Insert the EtherDisk in the floppy drive. 8. Press Return. The title "3Com EtherLink III PC Card Adapter v1.1" is displayed on the screen. 9. Press Return to select the network board. 10. Press [F10] to install the driver. 11. Press Return and follow NetWare instructions to complete the installation. 12. Reboot the PC to load the new driver. This completes the installation. Full-Duplex Operation ===================== The DOS ODI NetWare driver supports full-duplex operation (that is, sending and receiving data simultaneously). WARNING: You MUST be connected to a switched full-duplex Ethernet hub to use this feature (this feature disables collision detection).
